Classic and Portable Games Re-Release in HD

This will definitely be a good news to all gamers, as some of their class franchised will be re-release on the current generation consoles, read on to find out more…

Konami announced that they will re-release some of their classic games this year, the games included are from their popular franchises such as Metal Gear Solid and Zone of The Enders, they will feature HD graphics as well as remastered audio.

First to release will be the Metal Gear Solid Pack, which is scheduled in November both for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This will include Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, in Japan, Peace Walker will be released in a separate pack. You can check the screenshots for comparison between the original and the remastered HD version.

The Zone of The Enders Collection is scheduled for next year; which includes the first Zone of The Enders game and it’s sequel:  Zone of The Enders: The 2nd Runner. No trailer and image were revealed for the Zone of The Enders Collection.

Also, there are plans for a Silent Hill collection, Konami only mentioned that Silent Hill 2 and 3 will be in the collection.

Aside from Konami, Sony Computer Entertainment also announced that  they will also re-release one of their popular franchise; Ico and Shadow of The Colossus will get an HD makeover and is set to release on September 22 in Japan, the two will be sold separately. But Sony isn’t just re-releasing classic games, they also unveiled their PlayStation Portable Remaster Series, where selected PSP games will be ported to the PlayStation 3 with remastered HD graphics and new game content. There will be also multiplayer support, where players on the PS3 version can play together in the Ad-Hoc multiplayer on the PSP, and finally, you can use your PSP savedata to the PS3 version of the game.

First on the list was Capcom’s Monster Hunter Portable 3rd,which will arrive this 3rd Quarter , you can check the trailer to see the difference.

 

 

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is also part of Sony’s PlayStation Portable Remaster Series, the PS3 version will include the “Transfarring” feature, where you can use the save data on both versions, where you can use the PS3 save data of Peace Walker to the PSP and vice versa. Peace Walker will be included in the Metal Gear Solid Pack in America and as a stand alone game in Japan.
