The first major con experience after the quarantine.
Cosplay PH’s first offering of their annual string of events, Cosplay Carnival, has finally revealed their new dates after the initial booking as affected by the ongoing Enhanced Community Quarantine in Metro Manila. Originally set on April 18 and 19, this year’s Cosplay Carnival will take place on June 20 and 21 instead, and will still take place at the halls of the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
This change was spotted on Cosplay Carnival’s official event page over at Facebook, although no announcement from the page itself has been made just yet.
One of the most interesting attractions that Cosplay Carnival is looking to offer this year is the arrival of “Truck-kun”, one of anime’s most well-known trope and responsible for the tragic deaths of many anime and manga characters and as well as for sending people into new adventures whether to other worlds or by reincarnating them as a zombie that is reeled in to become part of an idol group in order to resolve a region’s tourism problem. First revealed through a promotion, Truck-kun’s inevitable arrival to Cosplay Carnival has been decided by the community after a popularity vote and, hopefully, it will still push through despite the change in date.
Together with Truck-kun, Cosplay Carnival 2020 will also be host to other guests and event attractions such as the Frenemy Feud, Trivia Throne, a Piso Auction, Solo and Dou Karaoke Contest and of course Cosplay Competitions. Tickets to Cosplay Carnival 2020 are still on sale and they have also extended their Super Saver ticket promotion which offers a good discount on single-day tickets up until April 30, 2020. Ticket purchase is available online through SM Tickets.
