Fandom February 2023 Shares the Love of Japan Pop Culture

It’s a good place to watch other creators share their passion for Japanese pop culture with students and fellow otakus.

Otakus love to join any communities or organizations where they can share their interests with other like-minded groups, and you can see this in any Otaku events whether it’s a small gathering or a large-scale convention. The impact of the pandemic caused a long pause for onsite activities and otakus would resort to online gatherings to continue their traditional activities. Though the geek event life is officially back, you can still enjoy online content from other orgs that showcase pop culture. Ateneo’s Japanese pop culture school org Toushin hosted a month-long event called Fandom February which aims to fill the gap in the lack of workshops they usually host each year due to the pandemic.

Fandom February features a lot of great topics to give the viewers an understanding of the anime and manga industry, and how it can inspire them to continue with their passion. Each Friday in February, Fandom February features a series of online talks and workshops that everyone can watch for free, from storytelling to VTubers to doujin. Since it’s already halfway through February, you can check out some of the workshops that happened in the previous weeks:
