PlayStation Vita arriving in Japan this December

Sony recently announced at the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) Press Conference that their new portable console the PlayStation Vita will debut in Japan on December 17, 2011. This means that the Japanese gamers will get their hands first on the new portable console. Western gamers will soon experience the PS Vita by 2012.

Sony will be partnering with NTT DoCoMo for the 3G prepaid service, players can choose either the 980 yen (PhP550) for 20 hours or the 4,980 yen (PhP 2800) for 100 hours.

 

 

Along with the release of the PS Vita, Sony confirmed that around 26 games will also release at the launch date. Some of these games include Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Shinobido 2, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, Power Smash 4, Poject N.O.E.L.S. plus many more and to be followed by Metal Gear Solid: HD Edition, Rayman Origins, Zone of The Enders HD Edition, Starstrike Delta, FIFA, etc.  spanning a total of 100 games will be scheduled to release by the end of the year/early 2012.

Sony also mentioned that around 600 PSP games will be playable to the PS Vita and are ready for download at the PlayStation Network.
