The new Garena Stadium will be officially launched in Singapore on 5 November 2012, heralding Garena’s first-ever gaming experience store in Asia. Fitted with the latest professional sound, lighting and studio equipment, the Garena Stadium will be the best-in-class eSports arena and gaming entertainment centre in Singapore that will produce and broadcast some of the most exciting live eSports events in Southeast Asia.

Located on level 3 of Bugis+, the 5,400 square feet Garena Stadium will feature one of the largest indoor LED screen displays in Singapore measuring 20 metres wide to deliver the optimal viewing experience for eSports fans. Garena Stadium is the only eSports arena of its kind in Southeast Asia today that is operated by an online game service provider.

“Garena Stadium is a brand new venture for us – we have chosen to launch our very first one in Singapore to be the platform for professional eSports players to showcase their skills and compete with some of the best in the world,” said Forrest Li, Chief Executive Officer of Garena. “As one of the leading online game service providers in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, we see Garena Stadium along with the numerous tournaments we organize spurring further development of the vibrant and fast-growing eSports scene.”

Garena Stadium serves to complete the gaming experience for Garena users by enabling them to interact “offline” with likeminded gamers who share their passion for their favourite online games such as League of Legends, Black Shot and Heroes of Newerth.

In addition to its eSports facilities, Garena Stadium offers visitors a café where gamers can catch up with friends over snacks and drinks, a dedicated Garena customer service centre as well as a retail space where limited edition game merchandise can be purchased. The retail space within Garena Stadium offers exclusive game premiums such as League of Legends branded toys, mugs, caps and shirts.

To mark the launch of Garena Stadium, the annual Garena Carnival will be held on 24-25 November and feature goody-bags and prizes totalling S$50,000 and an exciting line-up of games and contests including Garena’s first ever cosplay competition and eSports tournaments.
