Reimaru Files got a chance to check out the first cosplay event held in Festival Mall, Alabang.

The first cosplay event ever held in Alabang, Muntilupa. Brought by IEM (Icozplay Event Management) with the support of NCPH (Naruto Cosplayers Philippines) they brought in COSMICON 2014.

Held at the Festival Mall Activity Center, COSMICON was the first cosplay convention held in Muntinlupa City. The event was a nice distraction for the regular mall goers in Festival Mall, cramped but still they gave enough reason for people to go and check out the event. They let mothers in for free on Day 2, a generous gesture from the organizers in celebration of Mother’s day.

Going inside is a breeze, lines to get in are inevitable but not ridiculous. The booths themselves proved interesting, from FILBAR’S, Hobbyland, Cherry Credits’ Dragon Nest and the like, everything in the booth was good to catch all the attention of the people roaming around the venue. Also present at the event are Hero TV and Cignal where they also prepared a booth for the attendees.

The cosplay event was definitely the attention grabber for most of the mall goers, most of the cosplayers attended were definite eye catchers. There are also some children in cosplay which left the audience in awe because of their costumes and how they acted during their queue in the ramp. There are also a different group of cosplay that caught the attention of the mall goers and the con attendees: the pets in their costumes, most of the pets brought in really caught the attention of everyone in the event including the organizers as some of their costumes were very intricate.

With this, we give COSMICON a thumbs up. We hope that COSMICON will be coming back next year.
