ASUS Zenfone Launch Event Aftermath

Taiwanese computer hardware and electronics company ASUS has revealed their newest lineup of smartphones in the Philippines.

The launch party was held at  the Vyne bar & restaurant last July 17, 2014 for the Zenfone; ASUS’ latest take on smartphone scene for the Android. The Zenfone will have three variants; Zenfone 4, 5 and 6.

Packed with Intel’s Atom processors for the best performance, it manages to show impressive scores on several smartphone benchmarks. Each of the models are installed with the Gorilla Glass 3 to keep the screens scratch resistant and more durable.

ASUS also introduced the ZenUI and it shows a new visual design to the Android OS while providing a much cleaner look to the layout. The ZenUI also includes the What’s Next and Do It Later function where users can manage their tasks in a more organized manner. With these function, users can set scheduled tasks for emails and appointments, queue in some interesting articles, videos or blog posts for future tasks.

For those who are into taking pictures with their smartphones, the Zenfones are installed with the PixelMaster technology, providing added features to provide high quality images and videos. One of these features boasted by ASUS was the Low-light mode where it promises to capture good quality images even on low light conditions.

Also present on the product launch are some of the latest ASUS tablets; the Fonepad 7 and MeMO Pad 7

Right before the end of the presentation, it was announced that the Zenfones are now available at the online store Lazada in a much affordable price, many were surprised with the very low retail price despite the sheer performance of the smartphones which can rival some of the more expensive smartphone brands.
