Iga’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night might just be the Castlevania successor that we’ve all been waiting for.

Bloodstained

Described as “a gothic, exploration-focused action platformer” Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night gets revealed by Koji Igarashi, the brains behind one of the most nostalgic and popular video game series, Castlevania. Now making over $1 Million on its Kickstarter campaign, the former son of Konami is said to have reach more than enough of its intended funding for the game which is set for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.

Bloodstained will look to follow the concept of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night with some new elements added like gaining powers, more loots and weapon crafting. Igarashi states that the production and development timeline may reach up to 18 months (or maybe more) which means that the game could be out by late 2016 or early 2017.
