GIADA releases the intelligent OPS-compliant P211 Mini-PC

Giada, the industry leader in embedded systems and expert of Small & Medium Enterprise servers, is proud to debut their newly minted OPS-complaint mini-PC that comes with advanced graphics capabilities and remote manageability. The P211 is designed to make digital signage applications more connected, fast and secure, which results in more simplified installation, maintenance and usage of digital signage infrastructure. The Giada P211 is ideal for digital signage, electronic whiteboard, financial system, super market, restaurant, mass media, digital cinema, hospital, education with OPS displays.

What is OPS?

OPS stands for “Open Pluggable Specification” and is initiated by Intel. It is the first Industry initiative to standardize display and video signage solutions for intelligent, cost-effective, and easily integrated modular digital signage applications.

The P211 is designed to be a cost-effective OPS-compliant 1080P media player that integrates advanced graphics capability and remote manageability, bringing budget conscious users the premium features mostly found on premium-priced players.

Powered by Intel Broadwell Core i3/i5/i7 CPU and Intel HD Graphics 5500/6000, the P211 features accelerated multimedia performance, OPS-compliant form factor, remote maintenance and restart function, and peripheral expansion. The mini-PC operates on low power consumption of 15W TDP, which saves energy as well as being budget-friendly. Measuring at 200 x 119 x 30mm, the P211 is a light and slim processor that delivers optimum performance despite its compact size.

The P211 supports Microsoft DirectX 11 and broad video formats. Combining up to 8GB of DDR3L 1600 MHz memory, the mini-PC is capable of fast video conversion and sharp 3D graphics processing to play multiple high-definition videos up to 4K video resolution (3840×2160), while running applications in the background. Additionally, it is also supported with 2.5-inch SATA III Type HDD, which provides ample storage space for all your technological needs. Internet connectivity can be accessed with the installed Gigabit LAN Ethernet port, as well as wireless connectivity (optional) for seamless audio and video streaming. It can be configured to support multiple choices of wireless connectivity, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and LTE, or to connect to other audio/video sources such as radio, TV tuner and analog videos.

The front and rear panel of the mini-PC provides two mini-PCIe expansion slot with SIM socket. The P211 also has 2x USB 3.0 ports and 2x USB 2.0 ports to connect to an array of off-the-shelf peripherals, for example NFC readers and webcams. It also includes jacks for headphones and a microphone and the 1x OPS JAE port.

The P211 is fully compatible with Windows 7, 8.1 and Linux operating systems. With its compact design and multiple features, the GIADA P211 OPS-complaint Mini-PC is very flexible for applying to different applications including digital signage, KIOSK, POS, and advertising display.
