It’s back and packed with more surprises just like the old times.
The Nintendo Direct made a big return after months of absence, and a first Nintendo Direct without the late Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. Despite Iwata’s passing, he will sure be happy that Nintendo Direct is back once again, and a ton of news were revealed including some new games and release dates for the upcoming games. So let’s take a look on what were revealed:
Nintendo 3DS
- Hyrule Warriors Legends will launch on March 25,2016. Will feature a female Link named Linkle as a new playable character.
- Dragon Quest VII and Dragon Quest VIII will be available on 2016, DQVII will release first on Summer 2016.
- Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow will be available on the eShop on February 27, 2016, will feature wireless connection for trading and battles.
- Fire Emblem Fates will launch on February 19, 2016 and will have two separate versions; Conquest and Birthright with a third digital only Revelation version. A special pack including all three versions will be on sale.
- Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam will be available on January 22, 2016.
- New puzzle game, Pokemon Picross will be available for free in early December.
- Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon will be out on November 20.
- Final Fantasy Explorers will be available on January 26, 2016. A limited edition pack was also revealed
- Mega Man Legacy Collection will be available on February 23, 2016. A special Gold Mega Man Amiibo will be included in the special bundle.
Nintendo Wii U
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is here and will be available on March 4, 2016. A bundle pack will include the game and a Wolf Link Amiibo.
- Star Fox Zero will be available on April 22, 2016.
- The Zelda Wii U game will launch on 2016 with Amiibo support, no final name nor other info were revealed.
- Splatoon and Super Mario Maker gets free content update.
- Pokken Tournament will have Amiibo feature and launches on Spring 2016.
- Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros.
- Xenoblade Chronicles X launches on December 4, 2015, will have preload downloads for faster loading time.
- Mother 3 will be available as virtual console in Japan.
