AMD Radeon RX 480 Launch Event Aftermath

AMD is showing that they are now serious with their reveal of the RX 480, we were there to witness the announcement.

Processor and graphic card manufacturer AMD has revealed their latest high-end graphic card last July 28 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Their newest flagship; the  RX 480 promises to deliver the best performance for high-end gaming and Virtual Reality. Promoting along with their Radeon Rebellion campaign, it aims to bring back AMD back to the list of the PC enthusiasts and gamers as one of the most preferred graphic cards in the market. A select number of media were invited to witness the reveal of the RX 480, Sales Director for ASEAN and India region Ryan Sim, and AMD Philippines National Sales Manager for Components Sonny Sy were present at the launch and discussed about the RX 480 to the media.

To sweeten the deal on the RX 480, AMD has revealed that it will priced at a suggested retail price of PhP 15,000. The lower price tag aims to convince the target market that they can experience powerful cards at a much affordable budget. Aside from the RX 480, the RX 470 was also hinted at the event for gamers and enthusiasts to have an option for their gaming rigs if they aim for a cheaper card but with better performance.

We asked AMD in regards to what plans they might have in mind, yet unfortunately they stated that they have no plans for now but they might plan something for next year, so we are looking forward to that.
