Prepare to dine.
Just barely a week after first teasing their new project which bears the tagline “Prepare to Dine”, Bandai Namco Entertainment’s new upcoming IP is revealed to be called “Code Vein” according to a report from the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.
Created by the same people behind Gods Eater, Code Vein is said to be a “dungeon exploration-type, hard action RPG”, which means that it may share the same hardcore feel as the Dark Souls series, another game that is published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and pits the protagonist, a vampire, against large monsters.
According to the developer interview by Famitsu, Code Vein utilizes a “Buddy System” as one of the main components of its gameplay, meaning that the player will have an AI buddy, in the sense that the game’s difficulty is set on a bar so high, that the players may just quit the game completely if they are made to play completely alone or without the AI companion.
As of the moment, it is hinted that the game will be coming to the console platform, most likely the PlayStation 4 however, a complete, more detailed info should be unveiled by Bandai Namco soon as they plan to completely announce the game this coming April 20, 2017.
