Press Release: Black Desert on Xbox One X to be shown at PAX WEST

Renewed UI, re-mastered graphics and dedicated control mechanisms for Xbox One family of devices.

On Aug. 30th, PearlAbyss CEO Kyungin Jung announced that the Xbox One X version of Black Desert will be playable at this year’s PAX WEST 2017, which will be held in Seattle, Washington. PAX WEST, which has been hailed as a celebration of gamer culture, is one of the most representative game shows of North America. This year’s event will be held from Sep. 1st to 4th in Seattle, WA. Black Desert on Xbox One X will be available for demo play starting from Aug. 31st, Pre-PAX open House.

PearlAbyss will be participating in PAX WEST 2017 along with Microsoft, their partner company. Demo stations are available for fans so that anyone who visit will be able to play Black Desert Xbox One X version in crisp, true 4K resolution. Warrior, Ranger, Witch, and Striker will be available in a renewed UI with dedicated control mechanisms for the Xbox One controller. PearlAbyss CEO Jung Kyungin said, “We have decided to join PAX WEST 2017 in order to better communicate with our fans and to collect valuable feedback which we will surely reflect into our development of Black Desert for the Xbox One family of devices.”

Black Desert on Xbox One X was first unveiled at Gamescom, Cologne, Germany on Aug. 22nd this year. Jae-Hee Kim, the Executive Producer of Black Desert had an interview aired via Mixer live stream which attracted much attention from fans and media. Since its launch in Korea in December 2014, Black Desert has been successfully serviced worldwide in Japan, Russia, North America, Europe and Taiwan. It has been purchased by over 1.5 million players in North America and Europe and was voted as the best MMORPG by MMORPG.com in 2016. The global IP Black Desert, after its success in PC-online platform, is now expanding its territory to the Xbox One family of devices. Black Desert for the Xbox One family of devices is scheduled to be launched during the first half of 2018. Supported devices are: Xbox One X, Xbox One S, and Xbox One.
