And so the tale of DLCs for Assassin’s Creed: Origins begin…
Ubisoft’s next title for their Assassin’s Creed video game franchise will obviously be not one without paid add-ons as just about a week before its initial release, publisher Ubisoft already lists down what we believe to be the game’s initial post-launch content, or what we now refer to as DLC, which includes 2 story expansion packs, new weapons and of course free content.
New Stories
A major part of AC:Origins’ post-launch content is its 2 new story expansions titled The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs. The Hidden Ones will focus on the growth of the Assassin’s Brotherhood and will pit you against an invading Roman Force, Curse of the Pharaohs on the other hand will focus more on Egyptian Mythology and will introduce enemies such as Anubis warriors Scorpios and dead Pharaohs. The Hidden Ones will be released this coming January 2018, whereas Curse of the Pharaohs will be out on March 2018.
In addition to the story expansions, a Horus and Roman Centurion weapon and costume packs will also be available post-launch bringing new outfits, weapons, shields and even mounts come post-launch.
Free Stuff!
Paid DLCs will not just be the centerpiece of the post-launch goodies as Ubisoft is also slating free goods once the game is released such as already unveiled Discovery Tour wherein players get to enjoy Ancient Egypt through a virtual living museum tour. PVE events such as The Trials of the Gods and Horde Mode will also invite players to earn more in-game rewards by participating with the Horde Mode to pit them against endless enemy waves in a Gladiator Arena and the Trials of the Gods to bring big boss battles featuring Egyptian Gods.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins is the 19th game in the Assassin’s Creed video game franchise, and is the 10th title in the main video game series, the game is slated for the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC, and will be released worldwide this coming Oct 27, 2017.
