If you’re a fan of Dōjin soft title Rosenkreuzstilette then you might be delighted to hear that the 2007 cult hit now has its sequel, titled Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel, available for purchase for the PC platform on Steam.
Albeit originally released for web back in 2012, Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel’s Steam version will look to be its complete build and will bring a high-level of gameplay difficulty while bringing side-scrolling platformer fans to familiar landscapes with designs inspired by classic titles such as Mega Man and Mario with a slight hint of SotN.
Story Synopsis
Thousands of years have passed since “magic” was lost to the people. Now there are but a few who even know of its existence. Those who possessed magical abilities were faced with persecution.Several months have passed since the events of Rosenkreuzstilette. A mysterious group of Dark Magi, captained by a former foe, have formed a new organization known as the Schwarzkreuz.
The Schwarzkreuz abduct Spiritia Rosenberg and begin witch-hunting Magi for the church. Freudia Neuwahl sets off, along with her new fairy friend, Strudel, to fight the Schwarzkreuz, put an end to their witch-hunting scheme, and bring Spiritia back to the others at RKS.
Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel is priced at USD 13.99, although a 10% launch sale is currently ongoing on the game’s Steam Store Page, alternatively, you can also buy the game directly from the Publisher’s distribution platform, PLAYISM although the product will still have to be activated on Steam given that it will be sold as a Steam key.
