August is a good month to be a weeaboo.

The major annual anime otaku event in the Philippines Best of Anime is gearing up for its 9th year as they lock in the dates for their 2018 installment. Becoming one of the most anticipated anime and Japanese culture themed events for Filipino convention goers, Best of Anime 2018 will take place during the final weekends of August and once again will have the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City as its venue.

The 2-day event, which will be on August 25 and 26, 2018, will once again promote the beauty of Japanese Culture, aiming to go beyond Anime, through education, exhibition, and entertainment through workshops, activties, and performances. Best of Anime has grown to become one of the major Japanese culture themed events here in the Philippines and has also invited Cosplay talents such as Misa Chiang, REIKA, and Yugene Fay and popular J-pop and J-rock music groups STARMARIE and SPYAIR.

With the event dates and venue already locked in, we expect more news from the Best of Anime management regarding their invited guests and headline of activities in the coming months, with the tickets to presumably go up on sale this coming July.
