Airing on Yey this May.
The next king of Shonen Anime, Kōhei Horikoshi’s Boku no Hero Academia, or My Hero Academia, will be the next new anime to receive a Filipino-dub adaptation, that is after the official announcement has been made by the broadcast giant, ABS-CBN.
Set to air this May, the My Hero Academia Filipino dub will be part of ABS-CBN’s kid centric channel, Yey, and will include voice talents like Mark Ivan Uy, the voice behind Ryūnosuke Tanaka in the Filipino dub of Haikyu! and Elle Genovata, who provided the Filipino voice for Kotori Minami in Love Live! School Idol Project.
My Hero Academia follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he walks the path towards becoming a Hero, with the help of the hero All Might. Together with Deku are other characters like Katsuki Bakugō, Ochako Uraraka, Shōto Todoroki and best girl Tsuyu Asui, who all study and train with Deku in U.A. High School, the hero school, to become heroes and battle villains along the way.
The Tagalog broadcast of My Hero Academia is set to begin this coming May 7, 2018 on ABS-CBN’s Yey Channel.
