League of Legends, Tekken 7, and Arena of Valor Confirmed for Third Season of Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League

The Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League, the Philippines’ biggest mutli-platform esports league, is set to return for a third consecutive season. Budding esports professionals from around the country will once again get the chance to climb the esports ladder to prove to the nation that they have what it takes to stand among the very best players and teams in their respective games. The search for the next generation of esports pros lives on in the third season of the Globe PPGL.

A total of three esports titles have been confirmed for Globe PPGL Season 3; League of Legends (PC), Tekken 7 (Console), and Arena of Valor (Mobile). LoL makes a return after its successful outing in the second season of the league, while Arena of Valor makes a return to the spotlight after its run in the inaugural season of the Globe PPGL. Tekken 7 remains the steadfast constant title to grace the Globe PPGL as it returns for a third consecutive season.

The Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League Season 3 will take place in two stages. Players and teams from around the Philippines will be able to join in any of the qualifiers for their preferred title. The qualifiers for the League of Legends and Arena of Valor legs will take place on September 29 – October 14, 2018 while details on the Tekken 7 qualifiers will take place from October 6, 2018 to November 11, 2018. Eight teams and players will be fielded from all of the qualifiers on the road to the Grand Finals event on November 17-18, 2018 at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center, Makati City.

The third season of the Globe PPGL will feature a combined prize pool of PHP 400,000, up for grabs for any brave rising esport star willing to take on the challenge of the country’s biggest multi-platform esports league. The grand cash prize for each title is only one of the many incentives that budding esports professionals can fight for in the Globe PPGL Season 3.

ARENA OF VALOR

  • 2nd Place: PHP 25,000
  • 3rd-4th Place: PHP 12,500

 

TEKKEN 7

  • Total: PHP 100,000
  • Champion: PHP 45,000
  • 2nd Place: PHP 20,000
  • 3rd Place: PHP 12,000
  • 4th Place: PHP 9,000
  • 5th-6th Place: PHP 4,500
  • 7th-8th Place: PHP 2,500

 

The League of Legends and Arena of Valor qualifiers will take place in three major cities; Davao, Iloilo, and Manila, before moving on to the two-day online stage of the qualifiers. The Tekken 7 qualifiers will take place in Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, and Makati.

The Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League Season 3 will officially kick off with the first round of qualifiers for League of Legends and Arena of Valor on September 29-30, 2018 in Davao. All aspiring esports stars are invited to take their chances in the qualifiers in an ultimate test of their skill. The Philippines needs its future generation of esports stars to keep the flame of PH esports alive.
