BREN Esports Won 1,000,000 at MET’s Weeknight Showdown

BREN Esports successfully claimed the Weeknight Showdown 1st place prize by taking down ArkAngel Wicked Minds in a 3-0 victory. The best-of-five grand finals matchup concluded with a one-sided sweep for the country’s strongest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team.

Weeknight Showdown is an online Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament organized by MET Events (formerly Mineski Events Team), in partnership with Mountain Dew and MSI. BREN Esports beat out 152 other competing teams to take home the PHP 1,000,000 cash prize on December 22, 2018 in the grand finals streamed live via Facebook.

  • 4th Place: HappyFeet

 

The curtains may close on the grand finals of the Weeknight Showdown, but MET, MSI, and Mountain Dew have something else in store for all the ML:BB fans in the Philippines.

The organizers of the Weeknight Showdown have prepared a final special event before the entire tournament formally comes to a close. Six of the best players from the Weeknight Showdown will get the chance to face off against recording artist, Sponge Cola, in a special showmatch to be broadcasted live online.

The after-show jam session alongside the Weeknight Showdown on-air talents will cap off one of the biggest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournaments from 2018.
