The four-part qualifier stage of the Philippine Pro Gaming League 2019’s League of Legends leg has officially come to an end. Four weekends was it took for the country’s best Summoners to rise up, now the final eight contenders who will move on to the group stages is finally complete.
PPGL LoL Qualified Teams
- GH Alpha
- Bren Esports
- Hey Gaming
- Barcy Esports
- GH Kaiju
- Liyab
- GH Omega
- Ruyal E-Sports
These teams will then be divided into two groups of four teams for the PPGL LoL group stages. During this tournament phase, the contenders will compete in a best-of-three, GSL-style, double-elimination format to determine which two teams from each group will be deemed worthy to advance to the main event.
More than the lion’s share of the PHP 400,000 prize pool, the coveted PPGL LoL national title is also on the line in the main event.
This will be the fourth League of Legends title for the Philippine Pro Gaming League, where the previous champions were Team Liyab. The PPGL continues to be an avenue for both professional and amateur esports teams can test their mettle against the nation’s best competitors, currently serving as the Philippines’ primary League of Legends professional scene.
PPGL LoL Prize Pool
- Champion: PHP 200,000
- 2nd Place: PHP 100,000
- 3rd-4th Place: PHP 50,000 each
The PPGL LoL group stages will unfold on July 13, 2019 and July 20, 2019, and will be broadcasted live on PPGL 2019’s official Facebook page.
Organized by MET Events, Asia’s biggest esports events organizer, in partnership with Globe Telecom, the PPGL 2019 is the Philippines’ biggest multi-platform esports league, currently featuring League of Legends for PC, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang for Mobile, and Tekken 7 for console.
