Here are the things that you can expect at The Best of Anime 2019

It’s a weekend chuck full of anime explosion and cosplay bonanza

Whether you are a full blown otaku or just someone who appreciates cosplays, there’s no reason for you to check out The Best of Anime 2019 happening this weekend August 31 to September 1, 2019 at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The event is celebrating its 10th year and with that, they are bringing their fan favorite guests as well as fresh new faces. Returning to perform once more are Japanese idol group STARMARIE, who were a favorite at the Best of Anime since their first appearance back in 2013 and had made frequent appearances due to popular demand. Another was the visual kei rock band UchuSentai:Noiz who wow’ed the crowd when they also made their debut at the event in 2013, who also made a rendition of local band Kamikazee’s hit song Narda. And they will also be bringing rising local idol group Aidoru Sozai, who made their first appearance on Best of Anime 2018.

To sweeten the deal for the guest performer line-up, Best of Anime brought in Japanese Orthodox Royal Road Idol Group Yumeoi Shoujo, known for their single Tekina Sunrise and Japanese rock band BACK-ON, who are very known to have opening and ending songs of popular anime such as Air Gear, Eyeshield 21, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Gundam Build Fighters and Gundam Build Fighters Try, and they also have songs for popular games such as Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 and 3, Gundam Breaker 2 and 3.

For the cosplay scene, Best of Anime is bringing Taiwanese cosplay personalities Chihiro, Momo and King and Japanese cosplayer Monya. Special meet and greet session will happen during the weekend event.

There are also other activities happening on stage, there will be the annual battle of the bands, anime idol dance battle, karaoke challenge called anime sing-off challenge and the traditional all-star cosplay competition.

So if you’re an otaku, you can drop by at the Best of Anime on August 31 to September 1, 2019. Tickets are available at the event for PhP 380 per day, meet and greet rates may vary per personalities.
