We got our promise of a new DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

A new Smash Direct just went online today with Masahiro Sakurai presenting the latest details for the next DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The next character to join the massive roster is Min Min from Arms, with a very rad intro video at the Smash Direct. Min Min will feature the unique style from the Arms fighting game to Smash Ultimate with the ability to stretch her arms when attacking opponents, tapping the A button will allow her to do a flurry of kicks while holding A will let you use your left arm to attack. The right arm can be used with the B button and can switch to three different weapons by holding down and B. Her Smash Ultimate move summons the entire characters of Arms to dish out a barrage of punches to the targeted opponents.

Along with Min Min as a playable character, an Arms-themed stage called Spring Stadium that has jumping platforms on each side of the arena that can be used to leap away from harm or use to deal with a deadly KO to your opponent. There are a total of 18 music tracks from the Arms game that will be available on Smash Ultimate as part of the DLC bundle, so you will be getting Min Min, the Spring Stadium level and 18 music tracks from Challenge Pack No. 6 for only USD 5.99 and it will be available on June 29.

Aside from that, there’s also a new set of costumes for your Mii Fighters with the Mii Fighter Costumes Round 6 where it will include Heihachi from Tekken, Ninjara from Arms, Callie & Marie from Splatoon and Vault Boy from Fallout. These costumes will also be available on June 29 for USD 0.75 each. There are some new special add-ons especially with the Spirit Board where you can replay certain Spirits to earn a high score with bonus rewards, unique Spirit enemies when you own specific DLC Mii Fighter costume, and special conditions in beating tough Spirits.

And finally, more Amiibos will be released for the rest of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC starting with Joker from Persona 5 and the Hero from Dragon Quest XI.

It’s nice to see that Sakurai and his team are still active in providing more content to Smash Ultimate amid the pandemic that has affected everyone around the world, and he even assures that fans can expect more updates for the game as there are still 5 more characters to be revealed.
