NetEase Games is expanding the player base and audience for Top Clans 2021. This year’s event will kick off on August 7th and will pit players from around the world against each other in games like Dota 2 and Rules of Survival.

Top Clans 2020 was a huge success, with more than 57 million views on streaming platforms, over 80 competing teams, and an overall prize pool of $85,000. The pandemic did little to diffuse the enthusiasm of gamers around the world, who competed in online matches in Dota 2, Tekken 7, MARVEL Super War, and Tom and Jerry: Chase.
Top Clans Grassroots Summer Stage Review
In 2021, Top Clans has taken a more grassroots approach which allows more players to participate and enjoy esports than ever before. The 2021 lineup of games include Dota 2, Rules of Survival, Tom and Jerry: Chase, and Mobile Legend Bang Bang. Top Clans 2021 will also widen its reach outside of Southeast Asia, with competitors from India, Japan, Pakistan and Mongolia. For Mobile Legend Bang Bang, Top Clans reached out to the gaming communities in different countries to find the most dedicated and hardcore fans and give them the chance to play a lead role in the tournaments and create their own special esports experience. Dota 2 has taken it even further, by partnering with many renowned tournament organizers such as Moon Studio, Epulze, TNC and more. In Japan, they brought in livestreaming platforms like Mildom, and together, they are creating a mini Dota 2 league.
The Rules of Survival Grassroots is open to players from all over Southeast Asia. instead of only inviting a limited number of players to attend. This is to improve audience participation and present the growing popularity and entertainment of esports. The Tom and Jerry: Chase Grassroots will be bringing in popular livestreamers who are huge fans of the game to call the action as it happens.
The Top Clans 2021 Summer Invitational Details
There are many Grassroots matches still ongoing, but the next stage of the competition is almost here. Tops Clans has announced that the Invitational Tournament will begin on August 7th, 2021. Unlike the Grassroots events, it will combine players from each country, so that they can compete on the world stage. Together they will fight for an overall prize pool worth $35000+!
Top Clans 2021 will be broadcast in multiple languages, including English. In 2021, there will also be feeds in Tagalog, Thai and Indonesian on different channels. This means that gamers from all over the world can tune in and watch the action as it happens.
