Metal Slug kicked off its comeback with Alpha Test 1 back in July 2022 and now it’s back with Alpha Test 2. It is also no longer calling itself TBD but is now named, METAL SLUG: Awakening. With these updates, it is a very promising sign that this game is getting closer to its release. When asked why they have been running several testing phases, our source says that these steps are one of the ways they can make sure that the features will not only just meet expectations but exceed them more.

“Filipino gamers from Alpha Test 1 (Ran in July 2022) helped us to map out this new version of the game and we cannot wait to get feedback from the Philippine gaming community. Testers can look forward to testing new features like the “Clone Master” (a.k.a. Guild Boss Raid).  said Maricar Cacnio, Operations Lead of VNG Philippines.

With that statement, the team behind Metal Slug: Awakening sounds like they cannot wait to get the same awesome support from the Philippine gaming community during Alpha Test 1. Here is a quick rundown of what you can expect from Alpha Test 2:

Alpha Test 2 has 4,000 slots available for each country on a first-account-created, first-served basis – that means if you want a slot, you better mark your calendar with the Pre-Download dates happening on October 20, 2022 then you can start playing on October 21, 2022. This test is only available for those who have access to the Google Play Store and who reside in either the Philippines or Indonesia.
