Good luck to Darrick and hopes that he grab the top award.
Create your own Granado Espada
Okay I know I’ve already stopped blogging about Granado Espada, but this time, it’s more on the PSP game called Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny. The reason why I mentioned GE is that one of my fellow GE bloggers, Mena, managed to create Characters based on the popular MMO with the use of the character creator engine in Soul Calibur.
The character creation feature in Soul Calibur was one of it’s biggest trump card, aside from it’s great gameplay. With it’s massive option of customizing your own warrior, you can bring some of your other favorite gaming characters to life
Mena managed to create more than a dozen characters, but I’ll be showcasing half of his best creations (in terms of accuracy to the original characters) so here are the 8 characters with pictures of the original characters and gameplay video of Soul Calibur :
The design is very similar that of the original, although the fighting stance is a bit very ninja-ish, aside from that, everything is quite accurate.
The design is quite the same, the fighting style matches well to the original. The costume is based on the Crusader coat that is not yet available in the english servers (both SEA and US), it’s hard to find a picture of the new costume so i decided to upload the other costume instead which also looked similar.
Ahh, the White Baron, good thing Soul Calibur has rapiers, the bad part here is that his fighting style makes him of a vampirish swashbuckler, but aside from that, the creation is good (well since make a character with white color as it’s main desing is pretty to create).
From the face plate to the tofas, but this time, the tonfas are more realistic (smaller). The design is quite faithful to the Zeian warrior.
There are no horns on the original Rescue Knight, but from the armor designs to the weapons, all are seemed to be good. Now remove the helmet and you now have Romina in her Rescue Knight version.
The design looks to be a combination of the original Idge and with her battlesmith version, just take out the striped long sleeves and you have Idge, the sword matches well with her in Soul Calibur.
If Gracielo had a weapon, the nunchucks will be the best choice. The fighting style matches pretty well with Bookof Wind stance of Gracielo, now if the shoulder pads can only be removed…
Now if Granado Espada can allow the the fighter to wield a javelin and a sword at the same time, it wouldjust awesome. The design matches well to the original.
Kudos to Mena for his effort in bringing the Granado Espada characters into life into Soul Calibur. To check more on Mena’s other creations, you can visit his youtube channel:

Now if have your own creations of GE characters, how about sharing it with us =P
Who knows, your creation might be posted in the blog.
Till next time…
The Day when Granado Espada goes Fantazzztic
Any K-Pop (Korean Pop) fan should know about the Wonder Girls, aside from making great music, they are all hot XD, especially with their most famous hit single “Nobody“
Because of the popularity of the song, many fan made videos just popped up in famous video sharing sites, and so far there’s not a single Nobody music video that was created from a video game, until now…
A dude named Darrick just created a Nobody music video by using characters in Granado Espada,
although the game has limited animations when making poses or actions, this douche managed to finished the video with such awesomeness.
The project was started last August and it’s already released in Youtube yesterday, September 7
here’s the video of the GE Nobody
kudos to the douchebag for his great effort in making this epic movie
Chemistry meets Granado Espada
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted something GE related. As you can see, I’ve already stop playing Granado Espada for months and also I left the GE community since July.
But this project was started a few months ago but was on hold due to lack of time.
Finally the project is now finished and just in time before Mistress Hrin’s farewell to GE
This will be my final contribution and the birthday gift to Mistress Hrin (Godspeed on your journey).
So here’s my project: The Periodic Table of Stances
I got this concept from a certain fanart that I featured in my previous post.
Imagine combining chemistry and Granado Espada, no one has ever
I created the periodic table from MS Paint and Adobe Photoshop
The stance icons are from bookofwind.blogspot.com
Hope you guys enjoy the periodic table
4th GE PH Community Gathering Aftermath
Last July 18, 2009, the Granado Espada players once again gathered at Phooze gaming cafe for the 4th Granado Espada Philippine Community Gathering. This is the fourth gathering organized by players since December 2008.
The event started around 12PM and many players attended the said event. Surprisingly, the 4th event has the most number of attendees compared to the previous events, as this event was also promoted by Mistress Hrin on the GE website and by DeSanggria.
And as promised with more activities and prizes, the players really had the blast. Activities include freeplays, contests, raffles and pvp tournament that had a new twist. Participants were able compete well on the tournament despite having new mechanics.
Although the Philippine CM didn’t attend the gathering (again), good thing the GMs from E-Games attended and help facilitate the gathering. At the end of the gathering, all players never left the venue empty handed as they took home some prizes.
The 4th gathering was truly a blast and players are now more hungrier for a part five.
But sadly, this will be my last event, as I have don’t have enough time to facilitate any future events. But I believe that other players will continue the tradition to keep the community alive.
I’d like to thank all the gamers for their support on the gatherings and to IAH games especially to Mistress Hrin. As I bid farewell to the GE community, I’ll be wishing them to have more future gatherings and events.
