You may have probably know that the PlayStation Vita; the successor to the PlayStation Portable, is out in Japan since December and America and the rest of the world will have to wait until February to get their hands on Sony’s newest portable gaming console.

But since we Filipinos gamers are very eager to get our hands on the little monster, we always find ways. And because of that, some game retailers are already selling the PS Vitas in the market, whether it’s from the black market or the legit ones.

PlayStation Vita arriving in Japan this December

Sony recently announced at the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) Press Conference that their new portable console the PlayStation Vita will debut in Japan on December 17, 2011. This means that the Japanese gamers will get their hands first on the new portable console. Western gamers will soon experience the PS Vita by 2012.

Take a look at The Remastered PSP God of War Games

Developer Ready At Dawn will be bringing their God of War PlayStation Portable games into the PlayStation 3. Both God of War: Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta will be released as God of War: Origins Collection.

The PS3 version will have both games to be remastered in full HD quality, from the 480×272 resolution at 30 fps in the PSP version, they will now be able to improve the graphics to a whopping 1920×1080 at 60 fps.

Faces: The PlayStation Controller

15 years ago, Sony decided to join the console wars  in the mid 90′s after a bitter end with the supposed partnership with Nintendo  to develop the PlayStation.

With the debut of the PlayStation; Sony alone managed to change the way we see in video games today, along with the console debut, they also unveiled their design for the PlayStation gamepad, in which still retain its original design after two generations of consoles, only with some additional features to the gamepad.

Codemasters and Epic Games Hacked

    Following the fiasco by Sony’s PSN Codemasters and Epic Games servers are hacked, having their customer data exposed to the world on June 10 and 8, 2011, respectively.
    On an email published on the Sophos Naked Security blog, a breach was detected last June 3 and the perpetrator spirited away sensitive and private customer data including date of birth, address, contact numbers, gamer tags and encrypted passwords. In the email, Codemasters had advised everyone to change their passwords. How effective will this be is questionable though, since the hackers have detailed info (most sites require the same personal data to change the passwords, or send an email with the ‘forget password’ option). Codemasters brought down their site on maintenance in an attempt to beef up their security, for fear that the hackers might be able to get in again. (more…)
